Police have arrested a man who was wanted in connection with a double shooting Thursday morning near Snellville.

Trevaughn McBrier, 18, is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of probation, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. He was arrested without incident Saturday evening after the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office learned he was at a home in Stockbridge.

Investigators believe McBrier was the gunman who shot Andre Devost, 30, and Lashaud Smith, 14, both of Snellville, just after 11 a.m. Thursday. The shooting happened in the 3200 block of Highpoint Court, but police first learned about the incident after Devost and Smith arrived at the emergency room of Eastside Medical in a private vehicle.

Police said Devost was shot in the face and was transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was last listed in stable condition. Smith was shot in the back, according to police. He also is recovering at Grady with non-life threatening injuries.

McBrier is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail.
