Police in Douglasville are investigating a reported double shooting at a subdivision's pool.

It happened at the Sweetwater subdivision off Preston Boulevard. Police said they found two people shot at the pool.

Medics rushed both victims to an area hospital, where they have been treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say they're teenagers but have not released the names.

The gunman is on the run. Investigators say they've already identified multiple suspects and are working to identify the rest.

According to officials, detectives determined that the shooting happened after two individuals met at the pool "in order to fight" and that there is an ongoing dispute between 10 individuals.

A neighbor who lives near the pool says she heard the gunfire.

"I jumped up and I looked out the window and I saw two little boys, actually two teenagers, jumping over the fence at the pool," she said.

She said there have been problems at the pool in the past, but nothing as serious as this.

"We're going to get the HOA to come together, have a meeting, and something will be done after this," she said.

While investigators collected evidence and searched for the gunman, neighbors watched with fear and concern. Xavier Scott says he used to play basketball with one of the teens who was shot.

"I've tried to talk to him and lead him in the right direction, but he's going to do what he wants to at the end of the day. At this point I just hope that he's okay," said Scott.
