Police: 2 found dead inside apartment, possible murder-suicide

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at an apartment complex in northwest Atlanta. 

The incident happened Friday morning at the Berkshire Howell Mill apartment complex on Howell Mill Road. 

Authorities told FOX 5 News someone called 911 around 6:55 a.m. about a person being shot. Once officers arrived at the scene, they found two adults dead in one of the apartment units. 

Investigators said it appears one of those adults may have killed the other before taking their own life.  

Police have not released the identities of the deceased. 

Investigators said there was a child inside the apartment at the time of the shootings, but did not witness the acts.
