Police: 1 dead, 2 injured in apartment complex shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A late night shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex left one dead and two others critically injured.

The shooting happened at the Forest Oaks complex off of Glendale Road just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. Police said 10 people, including three children, were inside a downstairs unit when a gunman kicked in the door and started shooting.  

Three adult males were shot. According to police, one of the victims, a 28-year-old male, died at the scene. The two others were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition. 

Police said none of the kids suffered any injuries. 

Detectives believe the deadly shooting was drug-related. They haven't released suspect descriptions or the number of suspects they are searching for.
