Plea hearing set for woman in cold case killing

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A judge is holding a plea hearing for a woman charged in the slaying of a man in Delaware more than 30 years ago.

Fifty-two-year-old Sandra Hartzag, who was found living in a homeless camp in Dalton, Georgia, in November 2015, is charged in the 1985 killing of 54-year-old Joseph Braun.

Braun was found beaten to death in his Wilmington home. His car was stolen and recovered in Philadelphia.

Hartzag was scheduled to enter a plea in Superior Court on Thursday.

New Castle County police have said investigators got tips in 1999 linking a suspect to the crime. Officials said the suspect had died in 1997, but that tipsters said Hartzag, the suspect's girlfriend, was involved in the crime.
