Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Cobb County

A driver struck and killed a man Tuesday as he walked across South Cobb Drive.

The crash happened on the main road around 7 a.m. at Warthall Avenue. Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb County Police told FOX 5 News that Reginald Cumming, 75, of Marietta, was struck by a green 2004 GMC Sierra pickup truck and then a white sedan. Pierce said the driver of the truck that first hit the man stopped, but the driver of a white sedan kept going.

Cumming was killed at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was later found by police.

The names of the drivers have not yet been released.

No word on charges, but Pierce said, due to the area being dark in the early morning, more than likely charges will not be filed.

Business owners told FOX 5 the victim worked in the area.
