One Hurt in Chase, Crash Near Georgia Tech Campus
ATLANTA - Atlanta police arrested two men after an overnight chase and wreck early Monday morning.
Police say it started after a break-in at the Paint Genius auto repair shop at 10th Street and Northside Drive. Officers say a silver Dodge Charger there had a window broken in and the burglars stole all four wheels from a Chevy Trailblazer.
Officers spotted the suspects and pursued them onto the Georgia Tech campus. The chase ended when the suspect's car struck another vehicle near the intersection of Means Street and Tech Parkway. The two suspects jumped out of their car and ran onto the Georgia Tech campus. Officers were able to catch them a short time later.
The driver of the other car involved in the crash was injured, according to police. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were described as minor.
