Officials: Death of woman at motel room 'suspicious'

MACON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities are treating the death of a 30-year-old woman at a Macon motel room as suspicious.

Local news organizations report that the unidentified woman died Thursday night at an America's Best Inn.

Macon-Bibb County Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley says a man who was with the woman called authorities to report that she was unresponsive.

The unidentified man said he had just met the woman.

The man was detained, but no charged have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
