Officers searching for missing 75-year-old woman

Police officers are continuing to search for a missing 75-year-old woman, and they need help from the community with their investigation.

Carol Evans was last seen at her home on Lower Lovelace Road in West Point, Ga. last week.

A large cash reward is now being offered for information that leads to the location of Carol.

Officials think it may be possible Carol left walking from her home and never returned. As of now, police are not calling this a criminal matter.

Police say in a press release that Carol suffers from "the late stages of an altered mental state" and sometimes has moments of confusion as to where she is.

Carol is about 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. Officers do not know what she was wearing the day she went missing other than her glasses and either possibly tennis shoes or slip-on shoes.

The Troup County Sheriff's Office is asking for people to pray for Carol's family and for her safe return.

If you have any information on her location, please contact the Sheriff's Office at (706)-883-1616 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706)-812-1000.
