Officers remember fallen heroes for National Police Week

This week is National Police Week and Tuesday at Woodruff Park in Atlanta, officers honored their fallen brothers and sisters in blue.

The Atlanta Interagency Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held Tuesday morning.

It's held every year during this week to honor the lives lost in the line of duty.

Atlanta's Police Chief Erika Shields spoke during the ceremony and specifically mentioned the savannah police sergeant who was shot and killed Saturday.

Police agencies that participated in Tuesday's service include Atlanta, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and MARTA.
