NTSB report says GDOT partially responsible for I-85 overpass collapse

Federal investigators said the Georgia Department of Transportation is partially responsible for the fire that brought down a section of Interstate 85 last year in Atlanta.

The National Transportation Safety Board released a report Wednesday citing the department's decision to store construction materials under the overpass as a contributing factor.

The NTSB also warned transportation officials in other states to take immediate action to prevent a similar situation.

GDOT told FOX 5 News it has already made necessary changes.
