North Georgia inmate back in custody

BANKS COUNTY, Ga. - An escaped inmate from the Banks County Jail is back in custody after authorities said he walked away from the jail’s recreation area on Thursday.

Paul Dylan Gross, 23, was being held on burglary, theft by receiving and obstruction charges when he escaped. Authorities said they set-up a perimeter near the sheriff’s office, and searched through the night with K-9 search teams on the ground and Georgia State Patrol Aviation searching from the air.

No word on any additional charges.
