New Georgia attorney general names his leadership team
ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia's new attorney general is making some leadership changes in his office.
Attorney General Chris Carr, who took office last month, announced the changes Thursday in a news release.
Dennis Dunn, who's been with the office for more than 30 years, is now chief deputy attorney general. In that role, he is the attorney general's primary legal adviser and supervises all attorney casework. His appointment was effective Dec. 1.
Sarah Hawkins Warren, who was previously deputy solicitor general and special counsel for water litigation, has been promoted to solicitor general, effective Jan. 1. She will oversee appellate litigation and collaborate on all phases of significant litigation.
Also effective Jan. 1, Travis Johnson will become chief of staff, overseeing operations and communications for the department.
