New DeKalb County sheriff sworn in

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - History was made Monday night in DeKalb County as the new sheriff was sworn in.

Sheriff Melody Maddox is the first woman to hold the position.

The public swearing-in ceremony was held Monday evening at Saint Philip AME Church in Atlanta.

She replaces Jefferey Mann who retired last month.
