New Center for Workforce Innovation in Atlanta

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta's mayor has unveiled a new center for workforce innovation.

The center is at Atlanta Technical College.

The college president says the purpose is to start an innovative service model for students to start out in skilled trades like avionics and IT fields.

She says Thursday's launch is a change to expand opportunities.

The center is a partnership between the city of Atlanta, the Atlanta Committee for Progress, and the Atlanta Technical College.
