National Pancake Day 2016: Get a free short stack at IHOP
ATLANTA - Happy National Pancake Day!
On Tuesday, March 8, participating IHOP restaurants will be celebrating the 11th annual National Pancake Day with a sweet deal.
Stop by an IHOP between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and enjoy one free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes. In return for the free pancakes, guests will be asked to consider leaving a donation for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN). Learn more about Children's Healthcare of Atlanta here.
It’s called “Pancakes with Purpose” and IHOPS’s goal this year is $3.5 million for charity. Guests who make a $5 donation will receive a coupon good for $5 off their next visit, according to CMN.
Two years ago, IHOP served more than 4 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day. All of those free pancakes would have created a stack more than 12 miles high!
National Pancake Day is IHOP’s largest philanthropic event of the year. Since starting its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $20 million to support charities in the communities in which they operate.
CMN says 100% of the donations will help local charities provide vital equipment, life-saving procedures and critical, care for sick and injured children.
