ATLANTA - The Atlanta mother charged with murdering two of her children appeared before a Fulton County judge on Wednesday morning
Lamora Williams, 24, was in court for a status hearing ahead of her trial which is scheduled to begin in January.
Police said Williams killed her two sons, one-year-old Ja’Karter and 2-year-old Ke-Yaunte Penn, by putting them in a hot oven last October.
Williams then used a video calling app to connect with the children’s father and showed him their bodies, according to police.
Family members said Williams has been struggling with on-going mental health issues.
Williams faces one count of child cruelty, one count of lying to police, and two counts of concealing a death. She pleaded not guilty to all four
