Missing Winder woman with medical condition found safe
WINDER, Ga. - Police have safely located a missing woman from Winder.
Amanda Lovell disappeared on Saturday. The woman's family was incredibly worried because the 39-year-old suffers from a mental disability.
For days, family and friends combed the streets of Winder. They passed out fliers and stapled them to trees, hoping someone had seen Amanda or knew where she could be.
Amanda’s mother, Alice Chapman, said her daughter walked out of the house without a phone, identification or money. To make matters worse, the family said Amanda is a diabetic and had been off her medication for two days.
Tuesday morning, Winder police announced on Facebook Amanda had been found safe and was with a police officer. No word yet where she was located.
