MILTON, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - One metro Atlanta city is working to make it a little harder for children to vape.
Vaping is a smokeless nicotine product that has grown in popularity across the county and among all age groups. One of those groups is children under 18.
Experts said there is the misconception with many young people that vaping is safe, but research shows it can still lead to nicotine addiction.
The Milton City Council Monday took the first steps in keeping vaping products out of the hands of underage residents.
The council voted to limit gross sales from vaping at any shop to 25-percent.
Currently, only one vape shop operates in the city of Milton.
