SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Mercedes-Benz USA held a ceremonial grand opening on Thursday morning at the company's brand new multi-million dollar corporate headquarters in metro Atlanta.
Mercedes-Benz announced in 2015 that it planned to move its North American corporate headquarters to metro Atlanta from its longtime previous home. Mercedes-Benz also signed a dealing for the naming rights to the home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium back in 2015.
The new complex that houses the headquarters is located at Barfield and Abernathy road near Ga. 400 in Sandy Springs. The campus is spread out over around 200,000 square feet and cost $93 million to build according to Mercedes-Benz USA officials. The facility is expected to house thousands of jobs.
Governor Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms were on hand to commemorate the opening.
