Men killed in Barrow County stabbing identified
BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities have identified two men who died following a stabbing at a home in Barrow County.
Investigators say Whitney Kyle Stovall, 31, stabbed Stanley Hugh Ivy Jr., 47, multiple times at Ivy’s home on Old Hog Mountain Road in Braselton on Tuesday.
According to Barrow County Sheriff's Office, the two men got into an altercation, which led to the stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies found Ivy’s dead body in a shed on the property.
Deputies on the scene reportedly saw Stovall carrying a baseball bat and said he was combative with them before they got into a struggle with him.
Deputies say Stovall was hit multiple times with a baseball bat by Ivy’s family members who were attempting to stop the fight. Stovall was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
