DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - We go to a pro - a woman who approaches Black Friday like it's her Super Bowl Sunday. And let me tell you this quarterback of savings is going to give you a peek at her playbook. Folks meet Aimee Brittain.
"Two hours just to get out of the parking lot and onto Peachtree. Two hours," she said recalling an early amateur mistake.
Aimee Brittain once even missed a great deal because she stopped to use the bathroom.
"We got out of line one time and we missed the deal because we had to get it by a certain time."
But that was many years ago.
"Every TV in my house I've gotten on Black Friday. Everyone," she told me proudly.
This seasoned bargain shopping pro has learned so much about Black Friday deals and steals she started a website called "Pretty Frugal Diva." And it came from necessity.
This single mother making at the time was making $18,000 a year wanted to give her then four-year-old daughter what she wanted ... ballet lessons.
"I realized I was spending $150 a week on groceries. I started cutting coupons and got it down to $50 a week. Got her into ballet and I've been going ever since," the Union City mom said.
