Mays High School football coach on leave

ATLANTA - Mays High School’s head football coach has been placed on leave according to Atlanta Public School administrators.

Officials said Corey Jarvis was placed on administrative leave both in his role as head coach and teacher because an external auditor found football team’s finances had not had not been “appropriately managed.”

Atlanta Public Schools Chief Officer Donyall Dickey said Jarvis will receive due process which included a hearing on the matter.

The details surrounding the finances were not immediately available for review.
