Marietta man drowns on rafting trip

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. - A man from Marietta has died after drowning on a whitewater rafting trip with his family.

The Muscogee County Coroner said 46-year-old Alvin Lino was thrown into the rapids on Saturday.

He wore a life jacket but was unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River.

Lino died at the hospital in Phenix City.
