Man wanted Sandy Springs murder, arson found dead in La.

Police said the man wanted in connection to a woman was found dead inside a burning Sandy Springs home over the weekend has been found dead.

Patrick Joseph Nolan, 43, was found dead at a motel in Gonzales, Louisiana, according to Sandy Spring Police. The Gonzales Police Department said they found Nolan’s vehicle at an area motel and then discovered his body in one of the rooms. Investigators believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sandy Springs Police wanted Nolan in connection with the death of 39-year-old Amber Holliman. Police said Holliman was found dead at her Hammond Drive home Saturday morning after a neighbor called and reported Holliman's house on fire.

Investigators said Nolan killed Holliman then set her house on fire before grabbing his 160-pound Presa Canario dog and taking off. Police said Nolan’s dog was found safe inside that motel room.

Police said Nolan and Holliman were dating.

Holliman died less than 24 hours after her only daughter graduated high school, a milestone they'd both been looking forward to for years.
