Police are hoping the public can help identify a man wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault at a Walmart in McDonough.

Police posted surveillance images of the man on their Facebook page. He was reportedly driving a silver SUV.

In Walmart surveillance video, the alleged attacker appears to be browsing momentarily in the shampoo section on Sunday, but he doesn’t stay long. Notice also he doesn’t have a shopping cart, no basket, and no shopping list. Police are not sure yet if he was actually shopping or looking for a victim.

"This could happen at any time, that's why we're saying if anyone could identify him, it could happen to somebody else at another store, and it could be the same guy, so we want to try to get him off the street as soon as possible," said Detective Joseph Cooper, McDonough Police Department.

As for what happened, police said the victim was shopping for window blinds and when she bent over, the man grabbed her and pressed himself against her.

"She got frantic. She panicked and she started shaking. She tried to find an employee and at that time she called 911,” said Detective Cooper.

The best shot of the alleged attacker is when he walked into the Walmart. They said he was driving what appears to be a silver SUV. The make and model are not known at this time. Police said he could be a predator who will strike again.

"They don't have to give a name of who they are. They can just give his name and we can get this guy off the street so he doesn't do this. He may be a predator," said Detective Cooper.

Anyone with any identifying information is asked to contact the McDonough Police Department at 470-878-1087.
