Man wanted for armed Atlanta carjacking on Magnolia Way

Atlanta Police Department investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man allegedly involved in an armed carjacking in Atlanta.

What we know:

According to police, the incident happened around 10 a.m. on March 29 at 814 Magnolia Way. Officers said a woman had just started her vehicle in a parking area before going back upstairs to retrieve a bag she had forgotten.

When the victim returned, she was confronted by a masked man wearing a hooded sweater who was armed with a handgun. Police said the suspect demanded her belongings, including her car keys.

The victim complied, and the thief then got into the vehicle and fled the scene.

What's next:

Authorities released surveillance images and video of the man and are asking anyone with information to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing.
