Man says he could have been hit by a MARTA bus running a red light

A motorcyclist says he was almost hit by a MARTA bus that was running a red light, and he caught it all on camera.

The dangerous encounter was recorded on the motorcyclist's GO-PRO camera and happened Monday morning on Northside Drive at 14th Street at about 5:45 a.m.

"I had two green lights and started through the intersection. I noticed the bus off to the corner. I started gearing down and it blew right through the red light. So, I blew the horn tried to get the bus number. It was close," 48-year-old Shane Martin told FOX 5.

Martin started blaring on his horn and could not believe his eyes. He also got the bus number and reported it to MARTA.

"The first thing that came to my mind was my wife and my kid are going to hear about me as an emblem on the front of a MARTA bus," Martin professed.

FOX 5 has reached out to MARTA to get a response.
