Man saved by police after shootout pleads guilty
ATLANTA - A man, saved by Atlanta Police after shooting at them, will spend 15 years behind bars.
Timothy Hood pleaded guilty to a number of charges this week.
Last September, police said Hood carjacked his ex-girlfriend then, crashed into a city truck.
Hood got into a shootout with police and was hit several times.
An Atlanta officer jumped in to stop the bleeding and saved Hood's life.
After serving his sentence, Hood will spend an additional 15 years on probation.
