Man Killed in I-20 Hit and Run

ATLANTA - Police are looking for a hit and run driver who killed a man early Friday morning.

According to investigators, a motorist driving a Saturn Ion rear-ended another car, a Hyundai Elantra, just past the on-ramp of Rev. Martin Luther King Boulevard on Atlanta's southwest side around 2:30 a.m.

The two drivers got out of their cars to inspect the damage, when the driver of the Ion walked back to his car to get a jacket. That's when investigators said he was hit by another car traveling westbound on Interstate 20.

That victim suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. Investigators have not released the identity of that man. They have also not released much information on the car the hit and run driver was driving.

Police said it is an unknown vehicle with damage on its passenger side.
