Man killed in 5 Freeway rollover crash, ejected onto freeway sign

GLENDALE, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A man was killed today when a vehicle rolled over and ejected him on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Griffith Park area.

The crash was reported north of Colorado Boulevard about 7 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

The man, who was in his 20s, died at the scene, according to the CHP. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

According to the preliminary investigation, the man was ejected from a car that rolled over, and his body ended up atop a freeway sign. Two southbound lanes were closed while an investigation was underway.
