Man injured in DeKalb County shooting; suspect at large

LITHONIA, Ga. - A night of fun and football took a terrible turn for a DeKalb County couple after a shooting in Lithonia.
Police were called out to the 2600 block of Rock Chapel Road just after midnight. Police said they found a 27-year-old man shot to the chest. The couple said they were in front of a bar in the 2900 block of Evans Mill Road when they were approached by the woman's ex-husband. The girlfriend rushed the man back to his home on Rock Chapel Road.
Investigators said the suspect fled the crime scene and is believed to be traveling in a gray two-door Mitsubishi without a tag. The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
The name of the victim has not yet been released. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive.
