Fire Investigators Work to Determine Cause of Blaze

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County firefighters are investigating a deadly fire at a townhome in Lithonia.

Flames swept through the complex on Trent Walk Drive around 5 a.m. Monday.

Officials said an adult male victim was taken to the hospital, but didn't survive. Firefighters said the victim was found in the back of the townhouse.

Fire investigators said the fire was accidental and started in a kitchen. Most of the damage appears to be contained to the back of the unit.
