Man arrested in Georgia for Florida Panhandle murder

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man wanted for a brutal murder in Florida has been captured in Clayton County.

The Clayton County Sheriff’s SWAT team and elite Fugitive Squad arrested Christopher Odoms in Conley, Georgia late Friday night without incident.

Odoms is wanted for the Dec. 12 murder of a man in Escambia County, Florida.

Investigators said the murdered Florida man was shot twice and thrown from a vehicle on the roadway, leaving him for dead.

No word on when Odoms will be extradited back to Florida.
