Man arrested for pub fight shooting
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police said they have made an arrest in a shooting outside a bar early Friday morning.
It happened in front of the Wooden Nickel Pub located in a shopping plaza on Tucker-Norcross Road. Police said Daryell Allen Jackson, 20, got into a fight with Melvin James Dodson. Detectives said the fight ended with Jackson shooting Dodson.
Dodson was rushed to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. His condition late Friday night was not immediately known.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jackson Friday afternoon on Pleasantdale Road in Atlanta. He was booked in the DeKalb County Jail on aggravated assault charges.
Earlier information received by FOX 5 Atlanta from police stated the victim of the shooting died. The police have since released updated information correcting their earlier report.
