Man arrested for assault on Lamar County officer

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man is behind bars Thursday morning after being arrested for assaulting a Lamar County officer.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Forsyth police served a warrant on Donterious Keyon Frye on Wednesday at the Union Hills apartments.

Officials said Frye ran on foot but was quickly apprehended. He had been wanted for assault a Lamar County officer.

Frye was booked into the Monroe County Jail.
