Man arrested after string of Woodstock burglaries
WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Woodstock Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of burglaries along Highway 92, according to officials.
Police say 48-year-old Mark Highsmith hit nine businesses between early Sunday and Monday. He was arrested Thursday night.

He gained access by parking behind buildings and using a hammer to break through glass doors, authorities said. The man reportedly fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.
Highsmith is charged with nine counts of Burglary, three counts of Criminal Damage, and six counts of Criminal Trespass, according to police.
Authorities say Suwanee Police may have additional charges as well.
He is now in the custody of the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center and being held on a $156,999.00 bond.
