Overturned tractor-trailer shuts down I-75 SB

A tractor trailer crash completely shut down the southbound lanes of I-75 right before Exit 205 Monday night.

A crash along Interstate 75 in Butts County closed the southbound lanes and left the northbound lanes backed up for miles for several hours on Monday evening.

The crash happened just north of State Route 16 in Butts County, but traffic was being diverted off the highway in Henry County onto Bill Gardner Parkway at exit 212.

Northbound traffic remained slow-moving with the highway clogged up for more than five miles.

Few details about the crash have been released other than it involved an overturned tractor trailer.

The interstate reopened shortly before 11 p.m., but was still slow moving through the area.
