Kroger murder trial underway
ATLANTA - The trial for two men accused of a deadly shooting at a busy Atlanta supermarket has begun.
Damarius Thompson and Shontavius Chestnut are accused to gunning down 39-year-old Josh Richey on March 10. Prosecutors said the married father of four was shot because he was trying to stop the men from breaking into his work truck sitting in Kroger parking lot on Ponce De Leon Avenue.
Thompson and Chestnut are charged with murder, felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
