Knife reportedly found on former O.J. Simpson property

LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11) - FOX 11 reporter Hal Eisner reported on the day Nicole Brown Simpson's body was found in 1994. He got reaction from some of the key players in the case:

I can remember as if it was yesterday. Like other news reporters, I was dispatched to Brentwood for a report of a double murder.

It would soon become clear how massive this story would be. Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman slashed to death. O.J. Simpson was a suspect. You know the story, but now a new chapter.

A retired police officer apparently received a knife from the Simpson Rockingham Estate found by a construction worker when the place was demolished in 1998. It’s big news! Could the murder weapon have been discovered after all of these  years?

Ron Goldman’s Dad, Fred, told the New York Daily News: “I hope it turns out to be the weapon,” it would be one more nail in (Simpson’s) coffin. He should be dead already, but he’s not. Unfortunately, I don’t think it would change much legally.”

Simpson attorney F. Lee Bailey, told our Boston FOX Station, "OJ did not drop (the knife) on his property any more than he did the gloves. The whole thing is ridiculous."

Former LAPD Detective Mark Furman appeared on John Gibson’s FOX Radio Show.

He doesn’t think it's the knife, but if it were, DNA could still be on it.

“DNA could be found on dinosaur fossils,” he said.

And in New York, AP Special Correspondent Linda Deutsch told us she’s “surprised and not surprised.”

She says, in this case, “there will always be developments because it’s the greatest murder myster ever… and we’ll always be fascinated with it.”
