The FOX 5 Storm Team received reports of hail all across metro Atlanta and north Georgia in addition to heavy rains and some strong winds.

FOX 5 crews went by the 2900 block of Santa Monica Drive in DeKalb County where a tree fell on a home. There were no reports of injuries.

In northwest Atlanta, the storm brought down a tree and power pole near the corner of Peyton Road and Hollywood Road.

A tree brought down power lines in Sandy Springs in the 300 block of Forest Valley Court on Friday just after the storm passed. Officials wanted to remind drivers to be careful on the roadways and to watch for hazards, such as live power lines which may have come down in the storm.

Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport was on a ground stop for a time as the storms passed through the area. Some flights were delayed up to an hour and a half.

Georgia Power reported over 35,000 of their customers were without power across the state as the powerful line of storms barreled through the state.

FOX 5 viewers tweeted us and posted photos and videos of the storm to the FOX 5 Atlanta Facebook page.
