Improvements to Washington Park

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta City Councilman Antonio Brown hosted an event Thursday to celebrate major improvements to Washington Park.

Some of the changes will include upgrades to the park's WiFi, air conditioning system, and workout equipment.

Councilman Brown said the city will also replace the heating pump inside the swimming pool.

He said the northwest Atlanta park plays a crucial role in keeping the city together and will continue to do so in the coming years.
