I-20 westbound reopened after accident involving fire truck

Interstate 20 has been reopened after an accident involving a fire truck has shut down all westbound lanes in Cobb County.

According to police, fire crews were on the scene of an earlier car wreck that happened around 6 Sunday morning. Another driver then struck the fire truck that had pulled over to help the victims of the original wreck.

Officials told FOX 5's Jaclyn Schultz that all the firefighters are OK. They have not released any other information about possible injuries.

Georgia State Patrol and Cobb County police had been diverting all traffic off of the interstate near the Riverside Parkway exit. The slowdown had gone all the way down Thornton Road.
