HPD officer accidentally shooting himself at training academy
The Houston Police Department says an officer was injured wounded in an apparent self-inflicted unintentional discharge while training at the HPD Academy.
The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The department says he is conscious and stable.
He is being taken to the hospital.
