Investigators are trying to piece together what caused a major accident Monday afternoon in Henry County.

It happened in the 800 block of Rock Quarry Road just before 2 p.m. The Henry County Fire Department told FOX 5 News that five vehicles were involved including a fully-loaded dump truck which struck a minivan head-on. SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene as firefighters pulled the driver of a minivan out of the wreckage. Fire officials said they had to cut the driver out and were hindered by a downed power line and a brush fire sparked by the accident.

The driver of the minivan was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital. Firefighters said the driver suffered critical injuries, but was conscious at the time of transport.

The names and cause of the accident have not yet been released.
