A judge has set a new trial date for a man accused of killing a father who had just dropped off his son at an Atlanta-area preschool.

DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams on Wednesday said jury selection will begin Aug. 1 in the retrial of Hemy Neuman.

Neuman was sentenced to life in prison without chance of parole for the November 2010 killing of Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman. The Georgia Supreme Court in June reversed Neuman's conviction.

Neuman worked with Sneiderman's wife, Andrea, and was her supervisor. Both the prosecution and the defense at Neuman's trial contended that Neuman and Andrea Sneiderman were having an affair. Andrea Sneiderman has repeatedly denied it.

Adams asked the attorneys to file motions in the case by Jan. 1.
