Heat causes Texas road to buckle

The dog days of summer are taking a toll on the roads in Texas.

Texas Department of Transportation officials reported on Monday that roads in Beaumont are literally expanding.

It has caused two pieces of concrete on one road to push against each other and rise.

Officials say these problems are normal when the weather is this consistently hot.

Temperatures all week long will be reaching nearly 100 degrees in Texas and other parts of the country
