COBB COUNTY - A head-on collision in Marietta closed all lanes on Fairground Street NE between Roswell Road NE and North Marietta Parkway on Wednesday morning.
Marietta Police say 21-year-old Michelle Nutt of Lithonia was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Impala south on Fairground Street when she crossed the double yellow line and hit 21-year-old Kevin Espinosa of Smyrna, who was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra.
Nutt sustained minor injuries but her front seat passenger, 22-year-old Jaborrie Darden of Atlanta, suffered serious injuries. Darden was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
Both Nutt and Darden were transported to WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. Espinosa was not visibly injured in the crash. .
