Gwinnett County judge suspended over 'Confederate' Facebook posts
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A Gwinnett County judge has been suspended for comments he made on Facebook about protestors who want to remove Confederate monuments.
Judge Jim Hinkle labeled protestors in Charlottesville as “snowflakes” who have “no concept of history.”
He followed that with a post reading, “The nut cases tearing down Confederate monuments are equivalent to ISIS destroying history.”
Gwinnett County’s chief magistrate judge suspended Hinkle after comments were brought to her attention.
