Gwinnett County Falling Death Ruled Accidental

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office said the death of a father found bleeding in the foyer of his home has been ruled accidental.

Jeffery Williams, 50, was found inside his Galesburg Drive home on Dec. 20. Police said he fell from a second-story railing inside the home. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

According to the police report, William's son told officers that his father chased him out of an upstairs bedroom, tripped on a chair on the landing, and fell through the banister of the staircase.

No charges are expected to be filed.
